The guiding force
Viraalay was born from an atithi devo bhava philosophy. Transforming this ancient phrase into modern-day warmth, hospitality, and making guests feel at home is central to our endeavour.
The path
Rana and Tarun’s individual journeys overlapped while Rana learned the ropes of managing luxury estates meticulously, and Tarun was tirelessly building Indica Kitchen.
The exposure
During a 2013 export business visit to Cologne, Germany, Tarun uncovered his first opulent home-sharing experience via Wimdu. The striking element of living in communion stayed with him far longer than any pricepoint.
The bridge
The journey unfolded as both Founders traversed the globe to identify market gaps which revealed a scarcity in professionally managed private stays and vegetarian-focused family lifestyles.

A GNLU graduate and Company Secretary, Tarun wears many hats. His varied exposure across legal, hospitality, finance, and business strategy fields offers a unique lens through which he spearheads Viraalay’s vision. Whether it’s growing SMJ Exports into one of India's largest chilli exporters to North America, launching Novotel Jodhpur, Rajasthan's first all-vegetarian Novotel, or developing Indika Kanteen, a global Indian food service,Tarun leads strategic partnerships and brand longevity, focusing on conscious hospitality, facilitating environments in which distinguished homes belong.

A second-generation entrepreneur with command over hospitality operations, F&B, and guest encounters, Shubham ensures our brand’s day-to-day activities run seamlessly. His entrepreneurial journey began with SMJ Exports that soon grew to be India's leading spice exporter to North America. He not only moulded Novotel Jodhpur into a benchmark name in vegetarian hospitality, but also established Eleve Lounge- a boutique F&B concept. At Viraalay, Shubham brings a hands-on approach, ensuring every property delivers impactful experiences, consistent service, and exemplary stays, without exception.
Apeksha Talasera
Co-Founder & Director
A sustainability entrepreneur and commerce graduate from Chennai University, Apeksha Talasera drives a planet-first approach to hospitality and property development. Founder of 1G1, she has engineered numerous sustainability initiatives prioritising eco-conscious living and social impact. Apeksha weaves ethical practices into Viraalay’s fabric, championing community engagement, local collaborations, and mindful design, to create unforgettable adventures for our guests.
